The Challenge will start October 30. 2026:
About This Challenge
Welcome to Altadena Library District's 100 Books Club for ALD Teens! Your goal is to read 100 books before you graduate from high school. Once you register, come by to pick up your registration prize as well as the analog booklet to keep track of your reading!
Prizes will be rewarded for registering and after reading 25, 50, 75, and 100 books. Additionally, bonus prize for completing 5 book reviews - you will receive a sticker set.
Why should I participate?
High school is a busy time with schoolwork and all sorts of activities. Reading can be a great way to slow down, be present, and have an incentive to read consistently!
Which books do I read?
Read any books you want – paper books, eBooks, graphic novels, Mangas, even audiobooks count! (school assigned reading also counts!) If you’d like suggestions for specific titles, check out our suggestions in the booklet or just ask the Teen Librarian!
I finished the 100 Book Challenge! Can I do it again, starting from the beginning?
That’s amazing! Due to limited prizes, all teens may only participate in this reading challenge once, but we encourage you to keep reading!
To claim your prizes, come to any of our branch library locations during open hours and let any of our staff members know you are there to claim your prize! Also, if we pop up at your school, we will have prizes there, as well! If you have any other questions, please email: teens@altadenalibrary.org.
